We shoot a lot more than what ends up in a finished film. Location notes, the light that almost didn't cooperate, what changed between the shot list and what we actually came home with — most of that never had anywhere to live. This is where it lives now.
Yield & Frame Studio started with a simple idea: a property, a product, or a person deserves the same craft as a short film, not a rushed afternoon of coverage. The frame is only the beginning — what makes a film worth watching is everything underneath it.
What you'll find here
Expect three kinds of posts:
- Field notes — what actually goes into a shoot: light, location, what went wrong and how it got fixed on the day.
- On craft — thinking through why a film is framed the way it is, and what separates atmosphere from coverage.
- Studio updates — new work, new projects, and what's coming next.
